fresh blooms floating on a warm breeze

the mighty cottonwood tree, standing almost 80 feet tall, grows majesticly at the riverbeds of the southwestern u.s.a.  in late spring it's blooms are sweet, white and give off a clean pure scents. resembling tuffs of white cotton, the seeds are picked up by the wind and mimic a gentle mid-winter snowfall.
